No tech knowledge needed; just use the pre-programmed modes — the phone sized touch screen works intuitively. Four independent channels with accompanying stick-on electrode pads can provide customized, layered stimulation where you choose. Balanced (bipolar) wave forms, or link the same waveform across multiple channels and make your e-stim experience exceptional.
The hardware is future prepped. Future releases of the firmware over time will allow for modes driven by a variety of factors such as audio, GPS, phone orientation & distance from the unit, plus more or less anything you can imagine (roadmap will depend on customer feedback on discord: https://discord.gg/XqN3kxsN - e-stim channel).
